This was a good book. Others of his are better though.
This is a horror story that is pretty middle of the road. The characters are interesting and the black demon type thing was pretty creepy and I have to give props to the author for describing it's creepy smile and inky black body very well. It's got some issues with the formatting, like the spacing between regular words and words that are in italics. Also at the very end when we have "the end" it's right up at the end of the text instead of being separate like it's supposed to be.
But really, it's not bad, and it's worth reading if you have a few minutes to spare. Check it out!
This was a shirt story which I am sorry, but it failed to keep my interest. I got nothing out of it to share. I would not recommend it to anyone. No story or plot in my opinion.
This book or story is the shortest thing i read ever, its straight forward, not very mysterious or scary, its just a basic one
I really enjoyed the plot of the story. I didn't realize it was a short story until I got to the end. But overall I enjoyed it. I wouldn't be surprised to see a full novel come from this. I'd be all for it. I hope to read more from this author soon.
Review THE LODGE by Travis Burrows
Mr. Burrows aptly demonstrates that horror can be frightening even in small packages. This short story carries quite an impact. With a few subtle strokes, the characters are well-delineated, and the horror seems implacable. A short but quite satisfying horror read.
It's that time of year again and I am always looking for a good ghost story. The Lodge by Travis Burrows is a pretty quick read. If you're in the mood for a ghost story, and don't want to read a long story and/or book, this one will do.
The book is a pretty simple read. It was original, the characters are appealing, but honestly, I did have a bit of a heart beat suspense. Not too awful. Just short.
If you have a few minutes to spare, check it out!
