Best Dressage Book Ever Written. . . Great update.
Wonderful book, I love having both languages
Great resource for dressage.
This book is a must have for any equestrian, not just the dressage set. The explanations given in the book really help you to understand not just the "hows" but the "whys" of riding a certain way when training your horse. Even though the sticker price is quite high, it is worth every penny.
Great book but the picture quality is not as good as the original book. The size of the book is smaller. I was disappointed but glad to have the translations.
Dressage explained like no other. No wonder the Germans kept beating us. Now we have this book also.
Includes suggestions of what to do if things don't work.
Might not be appropriate for beginners.
This is an excellent book -- long awaited and needed. Now it's possible to read from Harry Boldt, one of the dressage icons of the world, in his own words, making it possible to better understand this difficult science.
I would recommend it to anyone who rides, regardless of which discipline, because the principles are the same for all.
We had been shown this book in german by our instructor, and were aware of how useful the information was, but was unable to translate it enough to be useful. I was looking for just a few chapters translated, this was far better, as the entire book is in both english and german, plus it has the extra sections by the other riders. The layout is clear, english is in blue, german is in black, this book has really helped clarify how to ask for certain movements and what they entail for the horse, the images especially are illuminating for what you are trying to achieve. A must own for aspiring dressage riders
